TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Fresh Start Chicago Cleaning Service. By scheduling, booking, or receiving cleaning services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. SERVICES
1.1 Scope of Services
Fresh Start Chicago Cleaning Service provides residential and commercial cleaning services in Chicago and surrounding areas, including but not limited to standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and post-construction cleaning.
1.2 Service Scheduling
Services must be scheduled in advance via our website, phone, or email. We will confirm your appointment within 24 hours of booking. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at our discretion.
1.3 Access to Property
You agree to provide our staff with safe and reasonable access to your property at the scheduled time. If our team cannot gain access, a lockout fee may apply.
2. PRICING & PAYMENT
2.1 Pricing
All pricing is provided in your service quote and is subject to change based on actual scope of work. Quotes are estimates; additional charges may apply for homes exceeding stated conditions or requiring extra services.
2.2 Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of service unless a prior billing arrangement has been established. We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and approved digital payment methods.
2.3 Late Payments
Invoices not paid within 14 days of the service date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
2.4 Taxes
Applicable Illinois state and local taxes will be added to your invoice as required by law.
3. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
3.1 Client Cancellations
We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. The following fees apply:
- Cancellations with 48+ hours' notice: No charge
- Cancellations with 24-47 hours' notice: 25% of the scheduled service fee
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice or same-day: 50% of the scheduled service fee
3.2 Company Cancellations
In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or reschedule due to staff illness, severe weather, or other unforeseen events. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer a reschedule at no additional cost.
4. SATISFACTION GUARANTEE & RE-CLEANS
We take pride in our work. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your cleaning, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion. We will return to re-clean the affected areas at no additional charge. Re-cleans are not available for issues reported beyond the 24-hour window or for damage unrelated to cleaning quality.
5. PROPERTY & LIABILITY
5.1 Pre-Existing Conditions
Clients are responsible for identifying any pre-existing damage, fragile items, or conditions prior to service. Fresh Start Chicago is not liable for damage to items that were already broken, improperly assembled, or in poor condition.
5.2 High-Value & Fragile Items
Please secure or remove irreplaceable, antique, or high-value items before our team arrives. We are not responsible for damage to items left unsecured.
5.3 Liability Limit
In the event of damage caused by our staff, our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, not to exceed the total amount paid for the service session in which the damage occurred. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
5.4 Insurance
Fresh Start Chicago Cleaning Service is fully insured. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
6. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure the best results, clients agree to:
- Ensure pets are secured or removed from cleaning areas
- Provide a reasonably clutter-free environment prior to arrival
- Ensure working utilities (water, electricity) are available
- Notify us of any hazardous materials, allergens, or special instructions
- Not request cleaners to move heavy furniture without prior arrangement
7. NON-SOLICITATION
Clients agree not to directly hire or solicit any current or former Fresh Start Chicago employee for private cleaning services for a period of 24 months following service. Breach of this clause may result in a referral/recruitment fee of $2,500.
8. HEALTH & SAFETY
Our staff follow all applicable health and safety protocols. We reserve the right to refuse service in environments that pose health or safety risks, including but not limited to extreme clutter, infestations, biohazardous materials, or aggressive animals.
9. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
